Ms. Roalson

Ms. Abigail Roalson is entering her 4th year of teaching and 1st year as an assistant band director at Berry Miller Junior High and Rogers Middle School. Ms. Roalson joins us after spending three years as an assistant band director at Hamilton Middle School in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. At Rogers Middle School she teaches the beginning flute and saxophone class and assists with the beginning trombone class. At Berry Miller Junior High she teaches the Concert 1 Band, while assisting with Honors Band, Symphonic Band, and Concert 2. 

Ms. Roalson is from Katy, TX, and is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University with a degree in Music Education in May of 2023. While at TLU, Ms. Roalson studied flute under Dr. Hilary Janysek and was a member of the flute, French horn, oboe, clarinet, and saxophone studios. She was the principal flute player in the TLU Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, and she played oboe in the Symphonic Band. Ms. Roalson participated in multiple ensembles including the Hounds of Sound Pep Band, Flute Choir, and Vespers Ensemble and taught flute lessons and masterclasses in the Seguin area during her time at TLU.

Ms. Roalson is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association. 

Outside of teaching band, she enjoys traveling, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her cat at home.
